Zola raises $10 million in Series B funding

Zola an online wedding and gift registry, has raises $10 million in Series B funding.

Zola is an innovative Wedding Registry that is transforming how couples and guests share, buy, and ship wedding gifts. Driven by the belief that today’s engaged duos should have access to offerings that reflect their current tastes on a platform that can keep up with their daily needs, we are reinventing old systems and providing easy to build, easy to manage, and easy to share online registries full of products people actually want.

Why Zola Was Born

When Co-founders Kevin Ryan, Shan-Lyn Ma, and Nobu Nakaguchi were themselves faced with the impersonal nature of wedding registries and the lack of gift options that reflected their own friends’ tastes, they saw an opportunity. The group set out to bring everything the modern couple is passionate about – home decor, adventurous experiences, and cash for a downpayment – all to one place.

With their combined experiences in building inspiring e-commerce sites and leveraging merchandising, design, and technology, the group built a new kind of wedding registry designed for the always-online and on-the-go couple.
